젠슨 황 엔비디아 최고경영자(CEO)가 SK텔레콤을 피지컬 AI 분야 전략적 파트너로 소개했다.

젠슨 황 CEO는 1일(현지시간) 대만에서 열린 GTC 타이베이 기조연설에서 SK텔레콤을 제조·피지컬 AI 분야 주요 파트너사로 언급했다. 이날 SK텔레콤이 엔비디아의 옴니버스를 활용해 SK하이닉스 반도체 제조 공정에 도입한 디지털 트윈 기술 사례 영상을 공개한 것이다. SK텔레콤이 젠슨 황의 기조연설에 등장한 건 지난 3월 미국 산호세에서 열린 GTC 2026에 이어 이번이 두 번째다.

디지털 트윈은 실제 공장과 설비를 가상 공간에 구현하는 기술이다. 시뮬레이션을 거쳐 공정 변경이나 설비 배치 등의 영향을 사전 검증하는 피지컬 AI의 핵심 기술이다. 이를 통해 시행착오를 줄일 수 있다.

SK하이닉스는 자율형 공장 2030 구축을 목표로 지난해 SK텔레콤과 반도체 팹(공장) 대상 디지털 트윈 적용 기술 검증(PoC)을 마쳤으며 향후 단계적으로 상용화를 추진한다. 데이터 변환과 장면 최적화 등 디지털 트윈 구축·운영 과정의 효율성을 높였다는 것이 회사 측 설명이다.

현재 SK텔레콤은 엔비디아 옴니버스 라이브러리를 통합해 대규모 3D 장면의 로딩 속도와 GPU·메모리 사용 효율을 개선하는 등 플랫폼 고도화를 진행 중이다. 이를 기반으로 AI 인프라부터 모델, 서비스까지 전 영역의 설루션을 갖춘 풀스택 AI 사업자로서 공공 및 기업 대상 사업을 확대할 방침이다.

마이크 가이어 엔비디아 인더스트리얼 디지털 트윈 총괄은 "반도체 팹은 대규모 데이터와 복잡한 구조로 인해 최적화가 까다로운 환경 중 하나"라며 "SK텔레콤은 엔비디아 옴니버스 에이전트 툴킷을 실제 현장에 적용할 수 있는 높은 수준의 기술 역량을 보여줬다"고 평가했다.
